Missing a Clove
Here is a garlic bulb that I lit a little differently based on how I used to light small sculptures when I was photographer for the Orange Coast College Art Gallery. It adds a bit of drama. I also used a polarizer on the camera to get rid of the flare and reflective highlights I was having problems with in my previous photos. Unfortunately, the filter allows for a sort of hyper texture to dominate the image. I'll need to experiment some more. Also, this will be the last of my paintings for about a week, because I'll be tearing down my studio starting tonight to prepare for getting a new laminate floor to replace the truly awful, filthy old carpet that I have now. I can't wait. So bye till next Tuesday.
