Afternoon Walk

Here is a painting I did for the Crystal Cove Alliance, to hang in their gift shop at Crystal Cove State Park. I was lucky enough to be invited to be a permanent exhibitor for 2012. I'm even more pleased to announce that it sold after just over a week in the gallery!
I love every view of the cove, but this was a departure for me. I had always wanted to paint an overview and am thrilled someone thought enough of it to buy it.

Multnomah Falls

Here is a small painting I did in December for the Annual 6 x 6 Show at the Randy Higbee Gallery. It's from a photo I took of these beautiful waterfalls in the Columbia River Valley just outside of Portland Oregon. And, I just found out that it sold!

Convict Lake

Here is the last of the Christmas presents I painted in December. As you might remember, I spent the last week in September painting in Mammoth. One early morning we went to Convict Lake and got there just as the sun was peaking over the high mountains surrounding the lake. I was lucky enough to sell the painting I did there that morning, but I knew it was one of my brother-in-law's favorite places up there so I did another painting from photos for him.

'32 Coupe

Here is a painting I did for my sister and her husband of their award winning
1932 Ford 3 Window Coupe. It's really a gorgeous car with a beautiful custom upholstered interior. I loved getting to go for a ride in it, feeling quite the thing.

Moose

Last, but not least is Moose. He is the beloved dog of my step son and his soon to be bride.
He is very shy, but has loads of personality and an unforgettable lower lip.

Max

And now it's time to introduce Max the wonder dog. He is as you can see I think, a Jack Russell Terrier. Who can fly. And stand on his hind legs forever and rollover and do any number of other cute amazing tricks. He is a  true ball of energy and source of endless entertainment for us all whenever we get together with my husband's family.

Sadie

This is Sadie, my nephew and niece's dog. She is an Australian Shepherd, Shiba Inu mix I think, and one of the most charismatic dogs I've ever met. She's the kind of dog you can't help wanting to have as your own. They were so lucky to find her.

Holly

At long last I'm back! I'd meant to start my first post of the new year last week but lost out to a bad cold. My last post was back in October. Yikes!! I don't know quite what happened. Coming back from that long trip was enough of a jolt to my routine that I couldn't  quite get back into gear I guess, and then came that long accelerating slide into the Holidays. Anyway, I wasn't exactly idle, because I did spend most of December painting Christmas presents and a few other things, which I couldn't put up here as it would ruin the surprise. So I'll begin again with a parade of paintings I gifted to my friends and family for Christmas. This one is titled "Holly". I did this for my dear friends in Santa Barbara. They were able to provide a home to her after she was abandoned in a parking lot after Santa Barbara's fire almost 2 years ago.
