Been working getting ready for this show, which I've mentioned whenever I posted a Back Bay painting over the last 2 or 3 months. Here is the postcard announcement which features my painting from 2008, chosen by my fellow artists to appear on all of the promotional material for this year's show. Come if you can. It's always fun to be outside at the Back Bay, visit the Nature Center, and looking at beautiful art. And it's FREE!

Brass Fish on a Turtle Candlestick Holder
Well, it's been a couple of days longer than I hoped to get back to posting; but better late than never, right? Here is one of those curious objects I've had for ages, in fact 40 years! It was given to me by my best friend Betsy back in the late sixties as a Christmas, or Birthday present, I'm not sure. I've always loved it, and had it displayed in one room or another through many moves and lives. The best part of this story, is that while I was recuperating from the knee surgery, I had my husband teach me how to use Facebook and I searched for her. And I found her. And now we are corresponding. I can't describe what a miracle this feels like! So to celebrate this amazing happening, I decided to paint one of my favorite beloved objects. Thank you Betsy.

Crystal Cove Exhibition
Crystal Cove is having their third annual Miniature Show, titled "Colors of the Cove" on July 8, 2010 from 6 - 8 pm. One of the perks of showing in the gift shop gallery is to be able to participate in several special exhibitions throughout the year.
Here are the 2 paintings I will have displayed at this year's show. Unfortunately I won't be able to go down and mingle. Not quite there yet, but it's worth a trip down to see all the beautiful paintings there, and the hors d'oeuvres are pretty good too.
