Here is a painting I did for a commission of the Empty Saddle Statue at the San Juan Capistrano Mission. Every year a mass and ceremony are held there to commemorate those members of the Viaje de Portola who have passed away the previous year. Here is a link which explains a little bit more about the ceremony:
I worked on this during the past crazy couple of months. Now that it is finished and all the shows are over I feel a little aimless. I'll have to zero in on some new projects.
I started this blog after being inspired by all the other daily painters there are out there, but specifically by the artists at the Daily Paintworks website
I have been almost exclusively a landscape painter for the past 6 years, and felt I needed a change and push.
I had no idea how much fun this would be or how addicting.
All paintings are offered for sale unless noted otherwise, and are offered for sale unframed.
Please feel free to leave a comment or contact me if you are interested in purchasing a painting at: janncam@earthlink.net
Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoy my endeavors as much as I enjoyed creating them.
