Afternoon Walk

Here is a painting I did for the Crystal Cove Alliance, to hang in their gift shop at Crystal Cove State Park. I was lucky enough to be invited to be a permanent exhibitor for 2012. I'm even more pleased to announce that it sold after just over a week in the gallery!
I love every view of the cove, but this was a departure for me. I had always wanted to paint an overview and am thrilled someone thought enough of it to buy it.

This is the final studio painting I did from the study of a couple of days ago. It will be presented at a silent auction next Wednesday at the Country Club.

Fog and Sun - Commission

Here is the likely final version of a commission I've been working on. It is pretty much a copy of a piece I did two years ago that sold at that previous Back Bay Show. Someone back then really wanted it though, so approached me this year to ask that I make one for her. So here it is. I hope she likes it.

Sunlight Through the Sycamores

On Thursday, a friend and I went out to Casper's Regional Park for a late afternoon painting. After driving through the whole park, we settled on this stand of Sycamores, with the last light of the day streaming through the branches.
