A Single Pear

Five dogs in a row is enough for awhile. I knew I needed a break when I was at the market holding up the fruit and vegetables to the light to judge which would make a good subject for a still life. Pears have always been the hardest thing for me to paint for some reason. So, I've given myself "the Pear Challenge". I'm going to paint as many as I can stomach in the next few days; and I don't even like pears! To eat that is.
So here is number one.
